Dr Bronwyn Afton Inglis
Medical Officer (Specialist Forensic Pathologist)
Dr Inglis obtained her MBChB degree from the University of Cape Town in 2008. After completion of her internship and community service, Dr Inglis went on to work as a medical officer at Tygerberg Hospital (Department of Paediatrics). In 2013, Dr Inglis obtained her diploma in Forensic Medicine (Dip For Med(SA)). From 2015-2017, Dr Inglis held the position of senior registrar within the Division of Forensic Medicine (Department of Pathology, University of Stellenbosch) and subsequently the position of a Grade 2 Medical Officer within the Division of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (Department of Pathology, University of Cape Town, Feb 2018-current). She has successfully completed her MMed (Forensic Pathology) research in August 2019, which involved a retrospective analysis of the epidemiology and medico-legal investigation of stillbirths, abandoned neonates and other similar cases admitted to the Tygerberg Forensic Pathology Medical-Legal Laboratory (Western Cape).
