Members of the Molecular Forensics Research Group stepped out of the academic environment and into a site of colours and smiles! As part of social outreach, they partook in a CANSA Sprayathon held at Kenwyn Primary School in Lansdowne. Having assisted alongside incredible cancer warriors, they let their creative juices flow spraying over 500 individuals’ hair and raising approximately R 5 300 to aid in patient support and research. It was a great opportunity to raise awareness for the Cancer Association of South Africa in a fun and interactive setting! We thank CANSA and Kenwyn Primary School for allowing us this opportunity to engage with our community.
In the wise words of Robert Brault - “Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things”.
